/ About the client

UVJC

Universal Vapor Jet Corporation (UVJC) is a Singapore-based deep-tech manufacturing leader whose global HQ and R&D centre support research, prototype manufacturing, and commercialization across semiconductor manufacturing, precision engineering, healthcare sensors, and clean-energy applications. Specializing in proprietary vapor-jet printing, it enables solvent-free, mask-free thin-film production across semiconductors, electronics, life sciences, and renewable energy.

Running fragmented processes across departments, the company needed a scalable, centralized system of record. Brainvire is delivering a full Odoo 19 migration engineered for configuration-driven processes, workflow automation, role-based security, and cross-department data flow, unifying Accounting, Manufacturing, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, HR, and Payroll onto a single scalable platform.

/ The approach

Standardize first, then scale on a common core.

/01Discovery

Fit-gap across departments

Business process assessment and fit-gap analysis across all departments to define the implementation scope.

/02Validation

Requirements, confirmed

SRS-based requirement validation to ensure every configuration decision matches real business needs.

/03Compliance

Mapped to Singapore

Singapore payroll requirements mapped against standard Odoo capabilities for accuracy and statutory reporting.

/04Scalability

Built to upgrade

A configuration-first approach that protects future upgrade compatibility and supports long-term growth.

/ What stood in the way

Four hurdles between fragmented data and one platform.

Select a challenge to see how it shaped the build.

/01 Localization & compliance
/02 Fragmented business workflows
/03 Standardization vs. scalability
/04 Manual information handoffs

Localization & compliance

Payroll had to align with Singapore's CPF, IRAS, leave, and benefits rules, with standard Odoo payroll coverage clearly defined. The team evaluates payroll requirements against native Odoo capabilities, mapping CPF contributions, IRAS reporting, and leave and benefits rules to determine what standard configuration supports versus where targeted customization is required, ensuring accuracy and compliance without compromising maintainability.

Fragmented business workflows

Core processes like Accounting, Sales, and HR ran as disconnected silos, restricting cross-team visibility. Accounting, Manufacturing, Sales, Purchase, Inventory, HR, and Payroll are unified under a single Odoo platform, replacing disconnected departmental processes with one connected system of record and closing the visibility gaps created by manual hand-offs.

Standardization vs. scalability

Standard Odoo Enterprise capabilities had to fit operational needs while minimizing custom-code risk. Capabilities are configured to fit specific business needs while minimizing customization, protecting long-term upgrade compatibility. The phased, fit-to-standard methodology is backed by fit-gap analysis, SRS-based validation, controlled customization only where necessary, and business-led UAT.

Manual information handoffs

Manual transitions between departments created visibility gaps and slowed operational decisions. Role-based security and structured approval workflows are built in to remove manual hand-offs from day-to-day decisions, with reporting and dashboards configured from the outset for real-time insight across CRM, Sales, Procurement, Manufacturing, Inventory, Projects, Service, Finance, and HR.
