A USA based client approached Brainvire to develop a Wordpress - WooCommerce based e-commerce platform where verified veterans, military spouses, and businesses can set up their virtual store and sell their product and services. The main aim of the client is to develop a marketplace that harnesses the strong power of collective military business community into a single marketplace. The website is designed keeping in mind global audiences.

The Veteran Market is an online e-commerce platform, powered by WordPress-WooCommerce, dedicated to empowering veterans and military spouses. It enables them to establish their online stores and offer their products and services to those who wish to support those who have made significant sacrifices for our country. The website is structured around two key modules: 1. Buyer/User and 2. Veteran/Seller. After a verification process, veterans and military spouses gain access to and can efficiently manage their online stores.
Within the Veteran Marketplace, users have access to extensive product information, the ability to purchase multiple products at once, the option to explore and shop across multiple categories, and much more. Furthermore, the website incorporates advanced features, allowing users to perform in-depth searches, provide product reviews, and apply coupon codes. The Challenges
- Managing Vendor-Wise Product TaxesPreviously only Admin had the authority to manage taxes imposed on the products. But, the client demanded to leverage a scenario where vendors can manage and manipulate state-wise taxes individually. Managing province-wise taxes from multiple vendors and calculating final price based on the taxes was complex and challenging.
- Automated Payment ManagementWhenever an order is processed, a certain amount of commission is supposed to be credited to the Admin’s account. Automating entire payment procedure and settling admin and vendor’s account was quite complex and difficult.
- Effective Shipping Cost ManagementAs the website holds three different shipping options, managing all the shipping options effectively in the backend in a way that only the selected option is showcased in front-end is complex.
- Managing Product UIWhenever a vendor uploads multiple product images regardless of its shape and size, it’s quite tedious and complex to manage product’s height and width in a similar manner regardless of its measurement figures.
