A USA based client is the leading global product manufacturer and holds 20+ years of experience in product inventing and manufacturing. In order to automate the entire manufacturing process, the client approached Brainvire to develop a web and mobile interface. The main aim of the client is to streamline and automate the entire business process that results in boost in business productivity along with offering seamless communication. The client is centrally located in Dongguan and holds physical presence at multiple locations overseas.
Project Highlights
In order to automate the entire manufacturing process and to streamline the business operations, the client approached Brainvire to develop a symphony based web application and Android and iOS-powered mobile app that manages the entire product schema right from product design, prototyping, manufacturing till market-ready products. It comprises of various user roles and modules that manage the entire business operations like customer management, factories management, module wise product management, order management and a lot more. Moreover, it also offers advanced search feature and dynamic report generation that allow users to easily find the products and generate reports based on that. It also allows users to communicate with different roles in a seamless manner. The application is developed for web and mobile platforms and is available for download. The application is designed keeping global audiences into consideration.
The Challenges
- Managing Application WorkflowAs the entire process is synchronized with multiple modules like research & development, product design, product manufacturing, prototyping and a lot more, managing product requirement through multiple channels and maintaining such complex and long-chained hierarchy was quite tedious and cumbersome.
- Managing Seamless Communication across Multiple RolesOne of the major challenges in the development of the application was to manage seamless communication of users as per the assigned modules. Whenever any update or message is reflected in the application, the user needs to login each time to revert or read the information. It was quite bothersome and annoying for users to perform login each time the application shoots the real-time update.
- Automating Entire Business OperationsOne of the main challenge faced was to dump the entire product information in new tuple and generate new order id of that particular information – Meaning if the same product has been ordered earlier by a customer and the same type of product is requested by another customer, then instead of going through the same workflow, the older product information is dumped as new order id in order to ease the process and shorten the manufacturing timeline.
- Optimizing Website PerformanceOne of the major challenges in entire development was to optimize the website and streamline its performance without degrading website resources quality.
