Modules, reports and payroll behavior follow Odoo 18’s documentation for the United States, one of the countries in its fiscal localization list. The Illinois Department of Revenue publishes the Retailers’ Occupation Tax and Use Tax structure and a rate lookup returning origin-based or destination-based rates depending on who is selling. Chicago adds a layer the state does not collect: a City tax list, administered by the city. We configure the calculation. We do not file your returns or determine nexus.
