About Client
The client is a hospice pharmacy benefits management (PBM) company that manages pharmacy expenses for patients. Currently, their hospice client faxes/phones the patient data for their web platform, which is then manually entered into the system by their employees. They wanted to develop an API Web Service that can communicate with third-party EMR firms to reduce the need for manual patient data entry.
About Product
Brainvire has improved the accessibility of their healthcare web platform by modifying the user interface. Our team has since developed the backend process to ensure that the database storage systems meet the data requirements of the organization.
Interaction with EMR systems:
by developing a mechanism for retrieving new patient information from EMRs in compliance with the HL7 ADT A08 standard.
Our developers have improved the client's existing database and provided a service to insert and update the activated data from the EMR system. When any patient data changes but no other trigger case occurs, these modified data are used.
Solution
The Challenges
Result
- Screening made simple:Our developers incorporated an EMR that quickly determines which patients are due for preventive screenings or checkups.
- Transparency:Because our developers wished to provide an error-free service, each stage of the project was updated to the client before proceeding to the next.
- Resourceful:We have ensured adequate resources for designing, building, testing, and implementing the API Web Service.
- Improved Data Management:Because of our API interface for healthcare, the client can effectively communicate with existing data sources and research databases.
