About Client

The client is a hospice pharmacy benefits management (PBM) company that manages pharmacy expenses for patients. Currently, their hospice client faxes/phones the patient data for their web platform, which is then manually entered into the system by their employees. They wanted to develop an API Web Service that can communicate with third-party EMR firms to reduce the need for manual patient data entry.

Our developers have improved the client's existing database and provided a service to insert and update the activated data from the EMR system. When any patient data changes but no other trigger case occurs, these modified data are used.

Patient discharges method creation:

To pull patient discharges from EMR under HL7 ADT A03 standard.

Our developers have devised a system for mapping patient discharge data to the database, which combines aspects such as a Close outpatient period and the removal of all patient medications. In addition, the patient's location prior. to discharge has been entered in the PV1-3-assigned patient location.

Patient admissions process creation:

use the HL7 ADT A01 standard to pull new patient admissions from the EMR.

We developed a system for mapping patient admissions to database tables, which included information such as patient demographics, patient address, patient contacts, patient allergies, patient diagnostics, patient prescriptions, and the company/group in which they work. The A01 case was only meant for “Admitted” patients.

Transfer Method of Patience:

To pull patient transfers from EMR under HL7 ADT A02 standard.

Our developers devised a method for mapping patient transfers to databases. This procedure necessitated the following steps: updating patient information, closing out old patient records, and closing out all medications from the earlier cycle. Creating a new period, adding medications to the new period, and updating patient data for the most recent period.

To pull patient discharges from EMR under HL7 ADT A03 standard.

Patient admissions process creation:

use the HL7 ADT A01 standard to pull new patient admissions from the EMR.

Transfer Method of Patience:
