/ How it runs
Six steps to hire Laravel developers, from the first call to engineers shipping inside your team, with a checkpoint at the end of each.
A working session captures the Laravel project, the skills and seniority you need, your existing team, and the engagement model, so the role is written down before anyone is proposed.
DiscoveryWe propose expert Laravel developers whose hands-on experience matches the brief. You review profiles, run your own interviews, and pick the developer or squad that fits the work.
SelectionChosen engineers join your repositories, tools, and rituals, and learn the codebase with AI-assisted code comprehension, the same approach the Dedicated Laravel Squad accelerator uses.
OnboardingWork runs in short sprints with demos and code review, and a lead owns the technical decisions, so you see working software early and often.
AI-assisted scaffolding & code DeliveryPest or PHPUnit suites, browser tests, and CI checks run before each release, and performance is checked against a budget before code reaches production.
AI-generated test coverage QAAfter launch, the team moves to monitoring, patching, and planned Laravel upgrades, and you can scale the team up or down as the roadmap changes.
AI-triaged monitoring & alerts Support/ Questions, answered
You hire Laravel experts backed by a delivery organization of 1,000+ Brainers across 10+ global offices, with 14+ years of experience and a 95% client retention rate. Squads come with a lead and QA, as the Dedicated Laravel Squad accelerator above describes, so code review and technical leadership are part of the hire rather than an extra.
To hire Laravel developers through Brainvire, you tell us about the Laravel project, the skills you need, and how you want to work. We propose engineers whose hands-on experience matches the brief, you review profiles and interview them, and the developers you choose are onboarded onto your codebase. The process section above sets out each step.
Yes. A dedicated developer works only on your product rather than across multiple projects: they join your standups, work in your repositories and ticketing tools, and report to your product owner. You can start with one experienced Laravel developer and add engineers, QA, or a lead as the roadmap grows.
Yes. You can hire remote Laravel developers who work in your repositories, tickets, and chat channels, with overlapping working hours agreed on at the start of the engagement.
Three common shapes: a dedicated developer who extends your team, a dedicated squad with a lead and QA that owns a stream of work, or a scoped project with an agreed plan and milestones. You can start with one model and switch as the product matures.
Freelance Laravel developers can suit a small, well-defined task. For complex projects, a product you will run for years, or work that needs QA, code review, and cover when someone is away, a managed team is usually the safer choice, because knowledge of the Laravel codebase stays with a team rather than one person.
Yes. Team extension is one of the accelerators on this page. Our Laravel programmers follow your branching model, coding standards, and review process, so the work reads as if your own development team wrote it.
A solid understanding of PHP, the Laravel framework, and its MVC architecture, including Laravel's Eloquent ORM, the Blade template engine, routing, middleware, queues, and Artisan. Beyond the framework: secure REST APIs with Sanctum, Passport, or JWT authentication, enough HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to work with the front end, relational databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, testing with Pest or PHPUnit, and Git workflows with CI/CD pipelines. Senior roles add advanced knowledge of Eloquent relationships and query optimization, plus the communication skills to explain trade-offs to people who do not write code.
Look at real code, not only a résumé: a practical exercise on a Laravel codebase, a review of past work for code quality and structure, and a conversation that tests technical expertise in architecture, database interactions, and the trade-offs they would make. The same checks separate top Laravel developers from candidates who only interview well. When you interview the experienced developers we propose, these are the points worth pressing on.
The Dedicated Laravel Squad accelerator on this page onboards a vetted squad in about two weeks. Exact start dates depend on the skills and seniority you need.
It depends on seniority, the number of developers, the engagement model, and how long you need them. There is no rate card on this page, because scope drives the number. After a working session, we estimate the team shape you choose.
Yes. We start with a code audit of the Laravel application: dependencies, Laravel and PHP versions, test coverage, security, and the database interactions that carry the most load. Then we stabilize what is fragile before adding advanced features.
Yes. The Legacy PHP to Laravel accelerator above covers it: AI-mapped code conversion, automated data migration with integrity checks, and modular re-architecture, moving the application in stages rather than in one cutover.
Yes. We build custom storefronts and marketplaces with catalog, cart, checkout, and payment gateways, and Laravel services that connect to the eCommerce platforms, ERP, and CRM you already run.
Yes. Laravel works well as the API and backend layer for mobile apps and single-page front ends, with REST or GraphQL endpoints, token authentication, and queued jobs for work that should not slow a request.
Caching for hot data, queues for slow work, indexed tables and tuned Eloquent queries, stateless app servers that can scale horizontally, and performance monitoring tools in production so regressions show up early. That is how high-performance web applications stay fast as traffic grows.
Monitoring, patching, dependency and security updates, and continuous release health, 24x7, as the Support & Maintenance card describes. Maintenance services also cover server environments and planned Laravel version upgrades, so the application does not fall behind the framework's support window.
AI supports rapid development on the repetitive parts of the work: scaffolding, Eloquent queries, test generation, and first-pass code review. Your hired engineers stay accountable for the code that ships, and AI features such as search, recommendations, or forecasting can also be built into the Laravel app itself.
The usual options are job boards, freelance marketplaces, and development companies. Job boards suit permanent hires, marketplaces suit short tasks, and a Laravel development company suits teams that need skilled Laravel developers plus a lead, QA, and continuity from one partner. Wherever you look, the best Laravel developers for your project are the ones whose past work looks like it.
Laravel developers are PHP developers who specialize in the Laravel framework. Day to day, they build features and APIs, write database migrations and Eloquent models, review pull requests, write tests, fix bugs, and work with product owners to turn business needs into working software. A senior software engineer on a Laravel team also shapes architecture and mentors others.
Laravel 13, released on March 17th, 2026, according to Laravel's official release notes. Laravel 13.x requires a minimum PHP version of 8.3, and the release notes call it a relatively minor upgrade in terms of effort: most Laravel applications may upgrade to Laravel 13 without changing much application code.
Laravel's support policy provides bug fixes for 18 months and security fixes for 2 years for all Laravel releases, and major framework releases arrive every year, around the first quarter. For example, Laravel 12 receives bug fixes until August 13th, 2026 and security fixes until February 24th, 2027, while security fixes for Laravel 11 ended on March 12th, 2026.
Yes. Laravel 13 shipped in March 2026 with a focus on AI-native workflows, including the first-party Laravel AI SDK, a unified API for text generation, tool-calling agents, embeddings, audio, images, and vector-store integrations, plus JSON:API resources and semantic and vector search.
Laravel provides first-party support for five databases: MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQLite, and SQL Server. MongoDB is supported through a package that MongoDB officially maintains. Queries run through raw SQL, the fluent query builder, or Laravel's Eloquent ORM, where each database table has a corresponding model.
The Laravel query builder uses PDO parameter binding to protect your application against SQL injection attacks, so strings passed as query bindings do not need to be cleaned or sanitized. The documentation adds one caveat: PDO does not support binding column names, so user input should never dictate the column names a query references.
Blade is the templating engine included with Laravel. Blade templates are compiled into plain PHP code and cached until they are modified, and unlike some PHP templating engines, Blade does not restrict you from using plain PHP code in your templates.
Laravel Dusk provides an expressive, easy-to-use browser automation and testing API, and by default it uses a standalone ChromeDriver installation. For new projects, Laravel's documentation now recommends Pest for browser testing, since Pest 4 includes automated browser testing. Support for testing with Pest and PHPUnit is included in Laravel out of the box.
Queues move time-intensive tasks, such as parsing and storing an uploaded CSV file, out of the web request so they are processed in the background. Laravel provides a unified queueing API across backends such as Amazon SQS, Redis, or a relational database.
Laravel Sanctum provides a featherweight authentication system for single page applications, mobile applications, and simple, token based APIs. Each user can generate multiple API tokens, and tokens may be granted abilities that specify which actions they are allowed to perform.
Match seniority to the work. Junior developers suit small, straightforward tasks with guidance close by; mid-level developers need less guidance and can manage their own priorities; senior Laravel developers bring extensive experience and suit larger, complex projects with strict deadlines, where architecture and trade-off decisions carry the most risk. You can mix levels under one lead.
The product and its users, any industry knowledge the role needs, the Laravel and PHP versions you run, the main responsibilities, must-have skills such as Eloquent, REST APIs, and testing, nice-to-have skills, the working hours you need to overlap, and how success will be measured. A detailed job description attracts candidates who fit, and it doubles as the brief for the engagement.
Artisan is the command line interface included with Laravel. It provides a number of helpful commands you can use while building your application, from generating model classes with make:model to running database migrations, so repetitive tasks are automated rather than done by hand.
