/ How it runs
Six steps from the first working session to apps in daily use, with a checkpoint at the end of each.
A working session maps the process as it runs today, where data is re-keyed, and which steps carry approvals, so the first app targets the work with the clearest payoff.
DiscoveryTables, relationships, security roles, and environment strategy are designed in Dataverse first, along with the licensing each user needs, before any screen is built.
ArchitectureCanvas or model-driven apps are built in short iterations with demos. Copilot drafts first screens and formulas, and developers review each one before users see it.
Copilot-built screens & logic BuildSystem integration runs through connectors, custom connectors, and the on-premises data gateway, linking the app to Dynamics 365, SharePoint, SQL Server, and the other business systems it depends on.
AI-assisted connector mapping IntegrationData policies, security roles, managed environments, and solution-based deployment through pipelines go in before launch, so every release moves from test to production the same way.
AI usage & risk monitoring GovernanceUsers get training and a support channel, makers get guardrails, and the apps get monitoring, fixes, and planned improvements after go-live.

We build the full Microsoft Power Platform stack: canvas and model-driven apps, Power Automate flows, Power Pages and portals, Dataverse data modeling, and Power BI Embedded analytics. Every engagement includes governance and ALM so apps are secure, versioned, and enterprise-ready rather than one-off citizen-developer builds.
Because Power Platform is low-code and we build with Copilot from day one, the business typically ships apps in weeks rather than months. We start with the workflows still trapped in spreadsheets and email, then turn them into governed apps quickly without waiting on a full custom-code cycle.
Yes. We model your data in Dataverse and connect Power Apps to your existing line-of-business systems through Power Platform integrations and Power Automate flows. This keeps a single governed data layer so apps, automations, and Power BI dashboards all work from the same source of truth.
It depends on the workflow: canvas apps give you pixel-level control for task-focused, mobile-friendly experiences, while model-driven apps are ideal for data-heavy, process-driven scenarios built on Dataverse. Brainvire assesses your use case and often combines both, along with Power Pages for external-facing portals.
We build AI into every app, not just the UI. Apps are Copilot-built, ship with AI Builder so they can predict and classify, use Power Automate agentic flows, and surface AI analytics through Power BI, so every app can predict, classify, and act rather than just capture data.
Governance and ALM are part of every build, with environment strategy, managed solutions, and version control so apps stay secure and maintainable as they scale. With 14+ years on the Microsoft stack and 95% client retention, Brainvire supports apps well beyond go-live.
Microsoft describes Power Apps as a suite of apps, services, and connectors, as well as a data platform, that provides a rapid development environment to build custom apps for your business needs. Power Apps consulting services help you decide what to build on it, design the data and security model, and deliver custom business applications that fit your existing processes. Ours run from the first workshop to ongoing support.
In Microsoft’s own summary, you build agents and workflows with Copilot Studio, apps with Power Apps, automations with Power Automate, analytics with Power BI, and websites with Power Pages. AI Builder, connectors, Microsoft Dataverse, and the Power Fx language extend those products, which is why Microsoft Power Platform consulting looks at the whole suite rather than one app.
Power Platform consulting decides what to build and how to govern it: use-case discovery, business process mapping, architecture, licensing fit, and environment strategy. Power Platform development services build it: apps, flows, Dataverse tables, custom connectors, and tests. Most programs need both, and we run them as one team so the build stays true to the design.
A Power Apps developer builds business apps and extends them with code. Microsoft lists that work as creating data and metadata, applying server-side logic with Azure functions, plug-ins, and workflow extensions, applying client-side logic with JavaScript, integrating external data with virtual tables and webhooks, building custom connectors, and embedding apps in websites. Our developers pair that code with the no-code app designers.
For business users, Microsoft positions Power Apps as a way to create feature-rich, custom business apps without writing code, and canvas apps start from a drag-and-drop design surface. The harder parts are data modeling, security, and governance, where technical expertise matters. We train your makers on the basics and keep the architecture with experienced developers.
Microsoft states that the Power Apps Developer Plan provides a free development environment to build and test applications with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Dataverse. It has capacity limits, and if you hit them, Microsoft points you to the Power Apps Per User Plan. Licenses for production users are priced on Microsoft’s Power Apps pricing page.
It depends on the number of apps, users, and data sources, and on how much integration and governance the solution needs. Licensing is set by Microsoft, and our Power Apps development services are scoped separately after a working session, so you see a plan against clear requirements before any build starts.
Through Microsoft’s on-premises data gateway, which acts as a bridge to the Microsoft cloud and requires no inbound ports, so legacy systems stay where they are while apps use their data. Custom connectors cover systems that have no ready-made connector.
When an Access database, spreadsheet, or InfoPath form has become one of your critical systems and only one person understands it, or when the process it supports has outgrown it. Legacy system replacement on Power Platform keeps the process, moves the data into Dataverse or another governed source, and adds security roles, audit history, and mobile access.
Microsoft Dataverse stores data so users can see it only if you grant them access, with role-based security to control access to tables. Data policies act as guardrails to help reduce the risk of users unintentionally exposing organizational data, and managed environments add controls such as limit sharing, IP firewall, and customer-managed keys. We configure those controls so the platform stays secure as adoption grows.
Microsoft notes the CoE Starter Kit is no longer actively maintained and that its core capabilities are now part of the Power Platform admin center, through Inventory, Usage, Monitor, and Actions. We build governance on those native tools, plus data policies and managed environments, so apps and flows stay visible and under control at scale.
Microsoft states that solutions are the mechanism for implementing ALM: you use them to distribute components such as tables, canvas and model-driven apps, and Power Automate flows across environments through export and import. Every environment in that path must include a Dataverse database, source control should be your source of truth, and pipelines in Power Platform or Azure DevOps automate build, test, and deployment.
Power Automate consulting finds the approvals, hand-offs, and data transfers worth automating, then designs the flows. Microsoft describes Power Automate as a way to optimize business processes across your organization and automate repetitive tasks. We map each business process first, then choose between cloud flows, desktop flows, and AI Builder models for the steps.
Approvals, onboarding, requests, inspections, inventory checks, and data transfers between systems are common candidates. The best starting point is usually a process that already runs on email and spreadsheets, because the rules exist and only the tooling is missing.
By replacing re-keying, email approvals, and spreadsheet tracking with one app and one data source. In Microsoft’s words, apps built with Power Apps provide rich business logic and workflow capabilities to transform your manual business operations into digital, automated processes. We measure the change on the process itself, such as cycle time and hand-offs, rather than promising a figure up front.
AI Builder is a Microsoft Power Platform feature for creating and using AI models that optimize your business processes, from prebuilt models for common scenarios to custom models trained on your business data. Microsoft’s own example is an app in Power Apps that predicts whether a supplier will be out of compliance. Some AI Builder features remain in preview, and Microsoft says preview features aren’t meant for production use, so we check release status before designing around one.
Microsoft says Power Apps and Microsoft Copilot let you describe the app you want and AI designs it, then you can make edits, add automation, and write code with Copilot in Power Apps. We use Copilot to reach a first version fast, then review the data model, security, and formulas it produced before anything reaches users.
Microsoft Copilot Studio is a graphical studio for building and managing AI-powered agents and workflows. Agents can work with employees and customers across Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 Copilot, websites, mobile apps, and other channels, so an agent can answer a question or complete a step while the app holds the data and the process.
Microsoft describes Power Pages as a secure, enterprise-grade software as a service (SaaS) platform for creating, hosting, and administering modern external-facing business websites. Sites use the same shared business data stored in Microsoft Dataverse as your apps, so customers, partners, and vendors can submit and track requests on the same data your teams work from.
Microsoft lets you embed canvas apps directly in SharePoint, Power BI, and Microsoft Teams, and we embed Power BI reports inside apps, so people analyze data and act on it in one place. That closes the gap between the report that shows a problem and the app that fixes it.
Yes. Dynamics 365 apps such as Dynamics 365 Sales and Dynamics 365 Customer Service use the same Dataverse platform that Power Apps uses to store and secure data, so you can build apps directly against your core business data without the need for integration.
