Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the front-end development team to implement design concepts and user interfaces into BigCommerce stores.
- Hands-on experience with BigCommerce Stencil framework, BigCommerce theme development, and customization
- Having good knowledge of Handlebars.js.
- Customize and extend Bigcommerce themes to meet client-specific requirements.
- Develop and maintain custom plugins, scripts, and applications using jQuery, JavaScript, and other relevant technologies.
- Integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance store functionality and the user experience.
- Familiarity with server-side programming languages.
- Troubleshoot and resolve backend-related issues, ensuring optimal performance and site reliability.
- Optimize website speed and performance through code optimization and server-side configurations.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in e-commerce development and BigCommerce platform enhancements.
- A minimum 2 years of experience in BigCommerce website development
- Proven experience as a backend developer with a focus on e-commerce platforms, specifically Bigcommerce.
- Strong proficiency in jQuery, JavaScript, and related libraries.
- Experience working with Bigcommerce themes, templates, and the Stencil framework is a plus.
- Having good knowledge of Handlebars.js.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
