The online fashion store is a one-stop destination for ethnic shopping in India and offers everything right from clothing, accessories to beauty and lifestyle products for men and women. The website is a fashion marketplace for the handmade, vintage, ethnic, organic and natural products. Funded by the foreign investors, the popular fashion ecommerce store is hailed as “The Hottest Young Company in Handicrafts in India” by the media.
The fashion products marketplace happened to encounter problems with the product information entered by the vendors or sellers which was found to be wrong or inaccurate at times. Hence, in order to ensure quality and reliability with the product information on the website, a new feature was required to be added to the website which enabled verification of the products uploaded by the vendors.
Brainvire successfully developed a system where the client can create users called agents who are responsible for checking and approving products uploaded by the vendors in the system. The sellers can add products to the marketplace right from their seller panel and by default they get published. But, at the backend, a system works where the products uploaded by the seller will be allotted to agents for verification. These agents have rights to edit or change any aspect of the product as per the requirement. If the agents approve the products, then and only then they will persist on the marketplace or will be removed.
Following are a few features of this system:
• Agents can make changes to the category, sub-category, product title, description from the listing
• If agents accept, only then products will remain on the marketplace and if they reject, the feed will be removed from the data listing and will be shifted to logs.
• Instead of pagination, Ajax based loading happens and initially only 20 records will be displayed, then scrolling down will display the next set of 20 records.
Well, it was not that easy to develop this new feature and add up to the existing marketplace. However, a lot of efforts and impeccable skills of the Brainvire team made it happen successfully in spite of all the challenges in between.
