/ How we work
Six steps from the first process review to a supported, upgrade-ready Odoo 18 system. Scope decides how long each one takes.
Workshops focus on how each business unit sells, buys, stocks, and accounts, then turn that into functional specifications, the Odoo 18 modules and edition that fit, a phased plan, and a cost estimate.
ImplementationWe assign access rights by role and configure apps, workflows, approval rules, and spending limits for each team, with multi-company settings where you run more than one entity.
AI-guided configuration ImplementationLegacy data is mapped, cleaned, and loaded in test runs first, with backups taken and consistency checks on record counts to ensure totals match the source before anything goes live.
AI-assisted migration MigrationCustom modules cover what the standard apps do not, and integrations connect the Odoo backend to your eCommerce, payment, and legacy systems.
AI-assisted development CustomizationUser acceptance testing, access and security checks, failure scenarios, and performance tests that check response speed on realistic data volumes all run before cutover.
ImplementationOnce cutover is complete, users are trained on desktop and mobile, hypercare covers the first weeks, and managed support, monitoring, and planned upgrades follow within Odoo's support window.
AI-triaged monitoring 24×7 Managed Services/ Questions, answered
Odoo 18 is the major Odoo release published in October 2024. It brings accounting, sales, purchase, inventory, manufacturing, HR, website, and other business apps into one centralized system, so every team works from the same records.
No. Odoo 19 followed in September 2025, and odoo.com now publishes Odoo 20 release notes dated September 2026. Odoo 18 is still a supported major version, and we tell you plainly when a newer release is the better target for your plan.
Odoo provides standard support for all major versions for three years, covering helpdesk support, bug fixing, and security updates. Its support table plans standard support for Odoo 18 until September 2027. Beyond that, extended support is subject to a mandatory additional fee.
Odoo's release notes list the changes app by app. Examples include a faster company switcher, readable URLs, passkey sign-in, dedicated progressive web apps for Barcode, PoS, Attendances, Kiosk, Registration Desk, and Shop Floor, a credit card journal type, accounts shared between companies, Peppol invoice sending, and PO-to-bill matching. Sales gained a quotation calculator, an improved PDF quote builder, and configurable commission plans, and Project gained a top bar showing progress, deadlines, and status.
Odoo 19's release notes, dated September 2025, add an AI section with AI agents that can learn from your documents and perform actions, along with updates to accounting, inventory, and other apps. We compare both versions against the modules you use before you decide.
Odoo offers two options: Odoo Community, which is open source, and Odoo Enterprise, which is licensed. Community is the core that Enterprise is built on, and you can switch versions at any time. Odoo's comparison lists unlimited functional support, version upgrades, hosting, the Android and iOS apps, and Payroll as Enterprise features.
Odoo Community is open source. Odoo Enterprise is a paid subscription, although Odoo's pricing page also lists a One App Free plan that covers one app with unlimited users. Paid plans are priced per user per month and the list price varies by region, so we check the current figure during planning.
Odoo publishes its plans on its pricing page. The Standard and Custom plans include all apps for a single per-user fee, and the Custom plan adds Odoo Studio, multi-company, and the external API. Implementation services are not part of the subscription, so we scope them separately in a detailed plan.
Under Odoo's Enterprise agreement, customers can open an unlimited number of support tickets free of charge for bugs and guidance on standard features, and can request upgrades to a more recent covered version. Development and customization questions sit outside that scope. Customers can also work with an Odoo Partner as their main point of contact.
Odoo SA grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Odoo Enterprise for the agreed term, and the agreement renews automatically for an equal term unless either party gives written notice at least 30 days before it ends. Customers must notify Odoo when their number of users exceeds the contracted number, and renewal charges can rise by up to 7% per year when the previous price was below the current list price.
It depends on your modules, localization, and timeline. A newer release gives the longest support runway, while Odoo 18 can be the practical choice when key third-party modules or custom code are not yet ready for newer versions. We review usage, dependencies, and cost before we recommend one.
Yes. Odoo's support table plans standard support for Odoo 17 to end in September 2026, and Odoo allows upgrades from any version to supported versions only. We run test upgrades, review custom modules, validate records, and plan the cutover with backups in place.
Duration depends on modules, data volume, and integrations. Our Odoo 18 Enterprise Accelerator targets a live core in 8 to 12 weeks, as the accelerator card above shows, and larger programs run in defined phases.
In Odoo's Quality app, quality control points automatically create quality checks for specific operations, such as manufacturing or delivery, and for specific products. Check types include Instructions, Pass-Fail, Measure, and Take a Picture, and Odoo 18 added spreadsheet-based checks and an on-demand control frequency. We configure the control points, inspections, and what happens when a check fails.
Yes. Odoo runs in a desktop web browser, and Odoo 18 added dedicated progressive web apps for Barcode, PoS, Attendances, Kiosk, Registration Desk, and Shop Floor that install on mobile devices from the user menu. Odoo lists its Android and iOS apps as an Enterprise feature. Odoo's announcement adds that an app you use every day can become a web app on your desktop, tablet, or mobile. We set these up on the devices your teams already use.
Odoo's announcement for Odoo 18 highlights multi-scan in the Barcode app, a barcode lookup that creates product records from a scan, push/pull rules to direct stock flow, valuation by lot or serial number, and a dispatch management feature for delivery rounds. Lots and serial numbers also stay traceable across companies. We configure these around your warehouses and reordering rules.
We define access rights by role, enable passkeys, which Odoo 18 added as a phishing-resistant sign-in method, and keep security updates current within the support window. Audit trails, backups, and compliance reviews are part of the plan from the start.
We map legacy data to Odoo's models, clean it, and run test imports first. Each load is validated against the source records before cutover, and backups are taken at every step so the team can verify results and roll back if a load fails.
Yes. We build integrations between Odoo 18 and eCommerce platforms, payment providers, and legacy systems, with data sync linked to the right Odoo records. Every dependency is documented, so later upgrades stay predictable.
Yes, as a layer we build on your Odoo data: agentic workflows for approvals and reconciliation, invoice and document capture, and demand forecasting, as the AI section above describes. Odoo's own AI agents appear in the Odoo 19 release notes, which is one more input when you choose a version.
Heavy customization can make each upgrade slower and costlier, some features sit only in the licensed Enterprise edition, and every major version needs an upgrade plan within its three-year standard support window. We keep custom modules to what the business needs so upgrades stay manageable.
One team covers Odoo 18 setup, custom modules, integrations, and support, backed by 14+ years of experience, 1,000+ Brainers, and 10+ global offices. We stay committed after go-live with managed support and planned upgrades, and the ERP cases above show the results we report.
