About Project

The client is the largest energy delivery company in Texas, managing a vast infrastructure that powers over 400 communities. To support the state’s surging population, they launched a premier energy efficiency initiative providing financial relief and grid-demand solutions for residential and commercial customers. Our website migration to Adobe Experience Manager replaced their rigid, custom-coded legacy system with a modular digital architecture. This re-engineered ecosystem resulted in a 3x improvement in publishing speed and a mobile-responsive identity that allows millions of Texans to intuitively access vital savings resources.

Brief

The objective was to transition from a rigid web presence to a scalable, author-centric environment that accelerates the journey from discovery to action. We aimed to eliminate developer bottlenecks by implementing editable AEM templates and reusable components, allowing internal teams to deploy seasonal campaigns and respond to Public Utility Commission updates in real-time. By prioritizing operational autonomy, we ensured the platform could evolve at the speed of the energy sector without ongoing technical intervention.

Case Study

Enhanced Features

To bridge the gap between complex utility data and the end-user, we engineered a robust AEM framework utilizing high-performance, reusable components. A key innovation is the Service Provider Directory, which features custom search logic to filter partners by zip code and program, while integrated forms synchronize submission data directly with SharePoint for secure lead management. Enhanced with Swiper for interactive UI elements and backed by Adobe Analytics, the platform maintains a consistent bilingual experience across all devices, transforming backend complexity into a fast, future-ready service platform for millions of users.

Enterprise AEM Migration

Enterprise AEM Migration

To resolve the constraints of a rigid, legacy infrastructure where content was tightly coupled with code, we transitioned the platform to an enterprise-grade Adobe Experience Manager ecosystem. By decoupling logic from the presentation layer, we empowered marketing teams with 100% autonomy over site updates. This shift effectively slashed content turnaround times by 3x and established a highly agile Content Management System that minimizes development overhead while maximizing operational control and business responsiveness.

Component-Driven Architecture

Component-Driven Architecture

We addressed hard-coded limitations and developer dependency bottlenecks by rebuilding legacy JavaScript pages into a library of editable AEM templates and configurable components. This full-stack development strategy enables non-technical users to perform instant UI adjustments and banner updates without requiring code deployments. Freeing the technical team from routine maintenance has allowed them to focus on high-value feature innovation, significantly accelerating release cycles and improving overall platform productivity.

Standardized Publishing Workflows

Standardized Publishing Workflows

To mitigate the risks of manual update inefficiencies and inconsistent deployments across disparate site sections, we engineered structured AEM workflows to automate content movement. By enforcing standardized review and approval protocols, we eliminated the need for manual intervention and reduced the likelihood of publishing errors. This streamlined governance ensures that all regional energy-saving communications are accurate and reliable, providing a controlled, future-ready foundation that scales effortlessly as the state’s population grows.

Centralized Content Governance

Centralized Content Governance

Solving the challenge of content fragmentation and inconsistent branding involved leveraging AEM Experience Fragments to modularize global elements like navigation, headers, and footers. This single source of truth approach eliminated manual content duplication and ensured a unified user interface across the entire bilingual ecosystem. By managing shared assets from a central location, the client can now roll out accurate, site-wide updates instantly, drastically improving content governance and the quality of the digital experience.
