Enabled Driver Check-Ins For Automation Software Provider Via Cloud-Based Mobile App

Compared to the earlier offline app, this app was available for download from Android and App Stores. Due to the quick download, there was no delay in starting the tracking. With tracking available on the app, the drivers just need to download the app and provide the necessary permissions to track their check-in and check-outs.

Due to the previous app’s offline nature, the data resided in the database and was not available. This restricted decision-making as there was a delay in accessing data residing on offline sources. We uploaded the database to the AWS cloud so the client could access the latest data when they needed it, eliminating delays and speeding up accurate decision-making.

We merged the data for a consolidated view from a single database. Having a single database resolved the problem of backups and maintaining versions. The upgrade helped to keep a single version of the latest activities and prevented data redundancy. Bringing instant access to the data improved the monitoring of activities and brought efficiency in operations.

After moving the data to the cloud, the client received an enhanced data security solution. The company data was backed up regularly and automatically, preventing data loss or corruption. The optimized code and upgrade to the cloud improved the app’s performance. A faster app meant opportunities to take on more business.
