Voice of SAP (VoSAP), an organization dedicated to mobilizing the specially-abled community, had organized an award ceremony for celebrating the success of its mobility efforts. This high impact, dignity enhancer event for disability sector was supported by GCCI (Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industries) and over 40 international sponsors who believe into VoSAP's mission, vision and execution strategies. It witnessed the presence of nearly 2000 attendees.
The event was an unconventional award ceremony and was graced by dignitaries like Shri O. P. Kohli, Governor of Gujarat and the Chief Guest for the occasion, Hon. Shri Vikrant Pandey, Collector of Ahmedabad district, Dr. Thaawarchand Gehlot, Hon'ble Minister of MSJE (Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment), Govt. of India along with Hon. Shakuntala Gamlin, IAS, Secretary in MSJE, Hon. Shri Prabodh Sheth, Jt Secretary, DEPwD, MSJE, Hon Dr. Kirit Solanki, Member of Parliament, only to name a few.
The day-to-day life of a specially-abled person is extremely tough and technology can simplify it. Traditional mobility aids can be backed up with IoT-enabled devices and mobile applications for effective mobilization. The idea of VoSAP, backed by our Hon'ble Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, was conceived with an aim to offer a constructive utility for fulfilling the special needs of privileged individuals.
