The client is an established name in the healthcare industry. They wanted a technologically advanced, scientifically proven, and wearable touch therapy solution that can calm and relax the user’s mind. Instead of tracking biometrics, the brand believed that a wearable solution could rebalance the user’s nervous system and build resilience to stress. They approached Brainvire with the same idea and now have a fully-functional wearable device that offers touch therapy.

Project Highlights

It was a great challenge for Brainers to build an exceptional touch therapy wearable device that can ease users' minds and bodies. We developed a neuroscience-based device with IoT and Bluetooth connectivity so that users can destress themselves with a single tap on the app. Coding, code refactoring, implementation of a headless Bluetooth structure, enhancing firmware, and application UI were Brainers’ top-notch priorities.

The Challenges

  • Absence of Battery And Connectivity Notification:
    The client wanted users to acquire timely notifications so that they are not stuck with a dead device.
  • Improve Code Usability:
    It was a challenge to work on the codes constantly, and hence there was a need to enhance their usability.
  • Implementing Two Different Modes:
    Lack of different modes causes hindrance in the user experience.
  • Solved Customer Issues:
    A few customers expressed issues with the hardware devices and demanded firmware updates.
Brainers added efforts to find an impeccable solution to establish connectivity between the application and the hardware device that can provide real-time battery charge and connectivity updates. We considered the app’s template while designing the notification anatomy. We concentrated on multiple factors such as timestamp, small icon, large icon, text, and title for the notification during our research. We used the right codes to craft a separate channel for notification action and updates at the right time. This way, users would be notified when the device gets connected and when their device battery is low.

    The advanced notification anatomy ensured that users acquire real-time updates on device connectivity and when the battery is about to die.
  • Implemented a Headless Bluetooth Framework

    We implemented smooth Bluetooth connectivity. This framework acts as a library where it needs a few codes, and the app can be easily connected with the hardware.
  • Improved Accessibility

    Brainers introduced light and dark modes in the application so that users can adjust the theme as per their feasibility.
  • Use of Advanced Features

    Along with BLE 4.0 technology such as IoT, Brainers implemented advanced features such as progress tracking, scheduling, and other integrations that encourage peaceful sleep, meditation, a clear mind, and regaining energy.
