About

In 1950, the journey began as a small gun shop in Westchester County, NY. Under entrepreneur George Numrich’s leadership, it evolved into America’s leading gun parts and accessories supplier.

Currently a worldwide leader in gun parts, primarily serving customers in the USA and Canada with some regional product restrictions, this enterprise aims to enhance online commerce by migrating from its current ASP.NET website to the Adobe Commerce Cloud platform.

Key Challenges

Data Migration From ASP.NET

Client needs extensive data migration from ASP.NET to Adobe; substantial volume required for gun part supplier.

Shipping Restriction

The arm supplier’s products faced shipping restrictions due to item nature, limiting shipments to specific regions.

Split Order

The challenge for the gun part supplier is to modify their system to allow customers to split orders after they have been placed, especially when a Reference Guide Book product is included in the cart.

Required FFL Address Validation

The client provides products that require customers to have a valid FFL (Federal Firearms License) card.

Our Solution

Although the gun part supplier encountered numerous challenges in growing their business, we have developed effective solutions to meet and support their particular requirements.
Adobe Cloud Migration

Transforming Data for Seamless Commerce

As the client’s third-party vendor, we encountered difficulties accessing their non-U.S.-hosted website due to server restrictions. Nonetheless, our team adeptly retrieved extensive data, encompassing customer details, product information, order histories, blogs, and forum discussions. We diligently transformed this data to align with Adobe Commerce, necessitating significant time and effort to ensure compatibility and functionality.

Adobe Cloud Migration

Cross-Border Strategy for Streamlined Commerce Compliance

The client supplied gun parts to both the USA and Canada, implementing shipping restrictions based on specific regions and pin codes. We tailored the client’s rules within Adobe Commerce, integrating them directly with the product settings. By incorporating real-time validation, we enabled or restricted customers from buying specific products based on their provided shipping address, ensuring compliance and streamlined operations.

Adobe Cloud Migration

Seamless Order Management with Post-Checkout Splitting Solution

The client preferred not to split orders on the checkout page but desired two distinct orders within the ERP system. We suggested post-order splitting: if the Reference Guidebook product is present, the system autonomously divides the order into two. Subsequently, both orders are forwarded to the ERP system, and the customer’s account is updated with relevant order specifics.

Adobe Cloud Migration

Secure Commerce for Licensed Holders

We created a specific customer group for FFL (Federal Firearms License) holders and pulled relevant data from the ERP system. Adobe Commerce subsequently fetches the FFL number, customer details, authorized FFL address, and expiration date. When customers include FFL-restricted items in their cart, the system verifies both the customer and the provided shipping and billing addresses. If the information isn’t FFL-compliant, users are unable to buy the restricted products.

Our Approach

Assessing the gun part supplier’s needs involved understanding product restrictions and tailoring the approach to address specific sales and audience targeting challenges.
