The brand supplies premium blank label stock and custom-printed orders to eCommerce sellers, small businesses, and industrial buyers. Constrained by legacy WooCommerce infrastructure, they required an enterprise-grade commerce backbone paired with a fully proprietary design experience. We delivered by seamlessly migrating their storefront to Shopify Plus while developing a custom, browser-based Label Designer Tool. This tool enables real-time 2D canvas customization and automatically generates print-ready, high-resolution PDFs server-side, empowering users to design, preview, and print with total precision.

Proprietary Label Designer Tool
To replace embedded Canva templates that lacked print constraints, causing artwork to bleed off edges or cut into text, we built a custom React and Fabric.js design canvas tailored for print production. The editor enforces precise print margins using SVG die-cut overlays with clear bleed and safe-zone warnings. Beyond rich typography and multi-layer editing, it generates print-ready, non-flattened vector PDFs via a server-side Python pipeline, saving artwork directly to user accounts and attaching print assets to Shopify line items upon checkout.
Visual Print Alignment Wizard
Since desktop printers feed paper differently, on-screen designs often printed offset on physical sheets, triggering frustration and costly reprints. We eliminated this hardware friction by creating a visual diagnostic alignment wizard that resolves feeding variances without manual measurements. Customers print a test sheet, match offsets against interactive graphic cards, and apply micro-adjustments. These settings save to cloud-synced printer profiles, automatically recalibrating PDF print coordinates before export to eliminate misprints.
Zero-Risk Storefront Migration
Migrating an established brand off WooCommerce posed significant risks to historical data and organic search rankings. We executed a zero-downtime, fully validated migration using Matrixify to safely transfer customer accounts, order histories, and catalogs. Comprehensive 1:1 URL redirect mapping protected existing SEO equity, while native integrations seamlessly connected the Shopify Plus storefront to key operational systems, including ShipStation for fulfillment, TaxJar for automated tax compliance, UserWay for accessibility, and Search & Discovery for merchandising.
Bulk B2B Data Merge
The legacy setup couldn’t process bulk requests needing variable batch codes, asset tags, or ingredient lists across single sheet runs, capping wholesale growth. To unlock this market, we built a high-performance B2B Data Merge engine into the design canvas. Buyers upload a CSV or Excel sheet and map columns directly to artwork fields, generating thousands of customized labels from a single template. The browser renders live previews with auto-scaling text, while heavy multi-row exports of up to 3,000 unique labels process asynchronously via cloud background jobs delivered via email.
