About Client

The client is the US’ biggest online coupon platform which offers a variety of coupon codes on internet retail stores and printable coupons at physical stores. Started as a small-medium between consumers and the providers before 12 years, now the online platform has become the giant stage with 158,000+ offers and 50,000+ stores till date. To handle the heavy flow of offers and the connected stores and to improve the website performance on a higher scale, the client approached Brainvire for the website customization and enhancement.

About Product

The website was originally developed in CodeIgniter and in order to customize the website for the improved performance, Brainvire team of developers worked on a lot of bugs which were preventing the smoother flow. Plus, the website was upgraded with the robust features to integrate with higher IT devices.

Complex Existing Code

The CodeIgniter framework based existing module was developed by another software firm. To make amendments to the existing code was quite a complex task. The existing code was not properly documented. It was taking hours and hours to implement even the smallest logic.

Brainvire development team understood every complexity of the code, tried to document the portion of the code to simplify the programming. Moreover, the developers redefined the coding standards and worked accordingly. As a result, the developers could finally crack the code and rectified the mistakes.

Writer Accounts

The client asked to craft a module in terms of writer accounts. This module allows the administrator to create writer accounts who can modify the user-posted content to precise and language rich offers.

The Brainvire team of developers crafted a special module. Admin-created writer accounts can log in from there and can access the user generated content. Plus, the writers will be given modification rights to beautify the content and upload on the server.

Redesigning of web pages

Since the inception of the portal, the policies were not altered that much. This time, the client wanted every page to be redesigned in order to incorporate new policies and strategies. Plus the client needed the website design that attracts its users to an extreme extent.

Having hands-on experience in CodeIgniter, the developers came up with the fully functional modules with configurable policies and information. Once the policies become configurable, the website was transformed into the scalable one.
