The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted lives dramatically. A large U.S. company wanted to offer a helping hand to support people who have been the most impacted. This retail front-runner offers online coupons to consumers to save money on their daily purchases, but shifted its attention toward aligning reliable charity organizations with the largest e-commerce site in the world—Amazon—to help communities in need. For this project, we pitched the idea of developing a customized Chrome extension instead of a traditional retail eCommerce solution. This extension automatically directs individuals to a trustworthy charity organization.
About Product
Our team is well versed in the techniques and development of a Chrome extension. However, with this project, it was a bit challenging because the company wanted it specifically for Amazon purchases. We custom-built a Chrome extension that, when integrated, allows customers to donate their desired sum. We introduced an array of reliable and local charity organizations where customers could donate money. With this Chrome extension, customers can offer a helping hand to the organization of their choice in a hassle-free manner. We crafted a unique fundraising Chrome extension that allows customers to make purchases securely and simultaneously donate to these charities. During the development process, we implemented an easy-to-use interface with exceptional features such as automatically redirecting users to Amazon’s charity website and donation facilities.
Smooth Redirection:
The biggest hurdle for the team was to find a smooth solution that could guide customers to the right page.
It was important that customers land directly from the Amazon page to the donation page. To avoid any discrepancies, our team developed a Chrome extension that was easy to download and install. Integrating a website with this extension ensured that customers would land directly on the right page and accomplish the purpose of donation.
