The client is a leading dietary supplement provider where a range of health supplements are offered to the customers online across the USA. Additionally, the company offer customized dietary plans to the customers based on the diet and health. Presently, the company is having 30 branches across the USA alongside an Ecommerce store that boasts to have 1 million customers.

In the existing Ecommerce store, the search functionality was not user-friendly and the user found it difficult to browse the products. The unpleasing search functionality was impacting the conversion ratio, so client approached Brainvire team to optimize the search functionality.

The proficient team built and implemented the Solr search extension in the existing Ecommerce store to enhance the search functionality and take user experience to a whole new level.

The Solr Search extension was built and implemented in the dietary supplement Ecommerce store so that customers can easily navigate and find the products at speed. It’s a My SQL full-text search option that can handle a lot of products with the ability of layered navigation filter.

Achievements

Implementing multiple checks option for every attribute in the filter and making the extension deliver desired results quickly was a difficult job. As for inserting the multiple attributes value in the Solr search extension and creating a schema.XML file, and then fetching the products from Solr Search instead of Magento was a challenging task. The Magento experts made it possible with debugging, testing and writing some queries.
